Peter David's return to the Star Trek universe will kick off July 6 with the release of Star Trek: New Frontier: The Returned: Part 1, which Simon & Schuster will publish as a digital-first eNovella. The Returned: Part 1 is the first installment of a trilogy, with Part 2 and Part 3 to follow in short order. Here's a synopsis direct from the publisher:
