Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy Experience launched on Thursday night at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa, Canada. The Minister of Canadian Heritage, Mélanie Joly, joined Star Trek luminaries William Shatner, Rene Auberjonois and John de Lancie for a special Starfleet Gala celebrating the Experience's world premiere.

Guests had the opportunity to meet the stars, enjoy a sneak peek tour of the Experience, and sample food and drink, including The Clocktower Brew Pub’s limited-edition Final Frontier beer brewed with Quadrotriticale.
The Starfleet Academy Experience offers fans the chance to participate in a “career day” at the Academy.
Following orientation, recruits will experience the Academy’s specialized training programs, explore different careers tracks and learn about Starfleet’s legendary crew members and innovative technology.
Activities, including the infamous Kobayashi Maru scenario, will test the potential of each recruit to train for careers as Medical Officers, Science Officers, Communications specialists, and even Commanders.
Select props and costumes from the Star Trek universe are showcased throughout the exhibit.
The Canada Aviation and Space Museum will host the Experience until September 5, 2016. Tickets are on sale online at www.joinstarfleetacademy.ca or can be purchased at the box office.

The Starfleet Academy Experience will also open at the Intrepid Museum in New York City on July 9th. Visit the Intrepid Museum for advance tickets and more information.
