Paley Center In L.A. To Host Star Trek: The Art of Juan Ortiz Art Exhibit

Juan Ortiz’s stellar Star Trek: The Original Series retro-style poster art has so far adorned art prints, tee-shirts, shot glasses and drink coasters, as well as been compiled into a book, Star Trek: The Art of Juan Ortiz. Now, Ortiz and his art will receive the gallery treatment, as The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, California, will present Star Trek: The Art of Juan Ortiz, a special gallery exhibit that will open to the public on November 20 and run through January 5, 2014. The exhibit will feature all 80 of Ortiz’s TOS pieces, which vividly personify each episode (and the original pilot) in the form of movie posters, comic books, pulp novel covers, advertising and product packaging.
