Her Universe Fashion Show at SDCC

Star Trek fans, get ready. Last year at Comic-Con in San Diego, Her Universe and Hot Topic teamed up to create one of the gathering's most-memorable and buzzed-about events, The Her Universe Fashion Show, a full-scale "Geek Couture" fashion shows and design competition. Now, Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein has just announced that the second annual Her Universe Fashion Show will be held July 9 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Diego.

Fans and amateur designers, male and female alike, can submit their own women's fashion designs based on anything that is celebrated at Comic-Con, original or inspired by popular media -- including, of course, Star Trek. The submission process is open now, and designers 18 years and older can submit designs to be considered for the fashion show at http://www.heruniverse.com/fashionshowcontest. The deadline for submissions is April 22nd, 2015. Twenty-five (25) contestants will be selected and announced by April 28th, 2015. Once again, two winners will be selected. One will be chosen by a panel of judges and the other will be selected by the audience, and the winner will have the unique professional opportunity to design a fashion collection with Ashley Eckstein for specialty retailer, Hot Topic.
