In case you missed it, the Primetime Emmy Awards did the logical thing on Sunday night and paid tribute to Star Trek legend Leonard Nimoy -- as well as veteran Star Trek film producer Harve Bennett and director Joseph Sargent ("The Corbomite Maneuver") -- during the presentation's "In Memoriam" segment.

Among the others celebrated in the montage, which featured Eva Cassidy's moving rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," were Joan Rivers, Wes Craven, Jan Hooks, Stuart Scott, Anne Meara, Bob Simon, Patrick McNee, Glen A. Larson, Sam Simon, Elizabeth Pena, Frank Gifford, Rod Taylor, Jayne Meadows and Edward Hermann.

The nearly four-minute long segment concluded, fittingly, with a clip of Nimoy flashing the Vulcan greeting and uttering his iconic line, "Live long and prosper."
