Diamond Select Toys will make its mark at San Diego Comic-Con next month by offering, as an exclusive, a Star Trek U.S.S. Defiant NCC-1764 Starship model. Fans will recall that the Defiant was seen in the The Original Series episode “The Tholian Web,” as the Constitution-class starship found itself caught in an interphasic rift, leading to madness and death among the crew before being drawn into another dimension.

Celebrating the upcoming 50th anniversary of TOS, Diamond Select Toys will bring a limited run of this 16”-model, which is cast in translucent green plastic to simulate the effects of interphase, to their booth at Comic-Con (Booth $2607). The product comes packaged in a full-color window box and includes a display stand. It will be limited to 200 pieces and sell for $65.00 at the booth.
