Amazon Prime Video confirmed its participation in CCXP 2019, which takes place from December 5-8, 2019 at the São Paulo Expo. The global streaming service will be present at the event with cast members from several Amazon Original series, as well as with more than one thousand square meters of booth space that promises to transport the public to the universe of some of the service's most successful and highly-anticipated series, including the upcoming Star Trek: Picard.
On December 6 beginning at 6:30 pm, the CCXP attendees will be able to fill the Cinemark XD Auditorium to enjoy a Prime Video takeover featuring a series of panels. Star Trek: Picard stars Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Isa Briones and Jonathan Del Arco will introduce fans to the highly anticipated series which premieres for international audiences on Prime Video on January 24, 2020. The series features Sir Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on Star Trek: The Next Generation. The new series will follow this iconic character into the next chapter of his life.
Other major panels include The Boys and The Expanse, as well as cast members from its local original series to be revealed at the event. In addition, CCXP attendees will be able to immerse themselves in the Prime Video universe through experiences based on Amazon Original series including The Boys, Carnival Row, The Expanse, Star Trek: Picard, and American Gods. Attendees will also have a chance to interact with the Amazon Echo and Alexa, which recently arrived in Brazil.
Star Trek: Picard will premiere exclusively on January 23 on CBS All Access in the United States, in Canada on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and OTT service Crave, and on January 24 Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories.
