Tilly joins the crew of Discovery as a Starfleet Academy trainee when the Federation-Klingon war breaks out in 2255. Tilly is a brilliant engineer with aspirations for command and plans to one day captain her own ship. While much loved by those who know her, Tilly is very open with her thoughts and feelings and expresses them freely.
