Star Trek: First Contact's Zefram Cochrane and Lily Sloane, James Cromwell and Alfre Woodard, respectively, have their next projects. It's just been announced that Cromwell will join Jean Reno, Oscar Isaac, Charlotte Le Bon, Christian Bale, Daniel Giminez Cacho and Shohreh Aghdashloo in The Promise. Set during the last days of the Ottoman Empire, The Promise is a love story centered on the relationships between Michael (Isaac), a brilliant medical student, Ana (Le Bon), a beautiful and sophisticated young tutor, and Chris (Bale) a renowned American journalist based in Paris. Cromwell -- who not only portrayed Cochrane in First Contact and Enterprise, but also guest starred on The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine -- will co-star in The Promise as an American ambassador who displays resilient heroism when challenged.

As for Woodard, the actress will play Mariah Dillard in the upcoming Netflix series, Luke Cage. Marvel recently made the announcement on its Twitter page. The show will debut sometime in 2016.
