Shatner, Koenig & Ryan Headline 2015 Vegas Trek Convention

Mark your calendars now: August 6-9, 2015. That's when Creation Entertainment will return to the Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas for the The Official Star Trek Convention. More than 30 guests are already locked in -- including William Shatner, Jeri Ryan and Walter Koenig, as well as such Creation first-timers as Julie Cobb, Clyde Kusatsu and Emmy Award-winning composer Dennis McCarthy -- with Creation aiming to secure more than 100 total guests. Many events are in the works as well, including a concert by the Nevada Pops Orchestra, with Dennis McCarthy as part of the program.

Tickets are available now, and Creation is reporting that Gold Weekend Packages have sold out quicker than ever. Creation also plans to bring back their two evening parties at The Rio's VooDoo Lounge, once again with celebrity entertainment and with a similar menu. They're also improving Quark’s Bar and adding more photo ops to “The Promenade,” along with complimentary craftspeople and artists.

To make the 2105 show even more fun we’ll have additional space so that we can provide more exciting entertainment for our fellow fans. We're well on our way to securing 100 Trek celebrities and are thrilled to have William Shatner, Walter Koenig and Jeri Ryan as our first three headliners. I can also tell you that, in addition to having Dennis McCarthy at the Nevada Pops show, we're working on some special surprises for that night. And it's now official that, as has become tradition, we'll close out the convention on Sunday night with a new production of The Star Trek Rat Pack Show with writer/performer Max Grodenchik, Armin Shimerman, Jeffrey Combs, Vaughn Armstrong and Casey Biggs. The Star Trek Rat Pack was suggested to us some years ago by one of our attendees, and it has been wonderful to end the weekend with such a fabulous fun performance.

“Our 2014 event was our best Las Vegas convention yet, and the positive feedback from 2014 has translated into a record-breaking early sell-out of our top-of-the-line 2015 Gold Packages and a near sell-out already of our second tier of ticket packages, including The Captain's Chair," Berman continued. "There are still some second-tier ticket packages available, and we'll add more ticket options as we progress towards the convention date."
