StarTrek.com is saddened to report the death of veteran character actor Booth Colman, who, according to Variety, passed away in his sleep on December 15 at the age of 91. Colman appeared in more than 100 television shows and movies, among them Star Trek: Voyager, Julius Caesar, Them! (with Leonard Nimoy), Dragnet, The Untouchables, The Fugitive, Gilligan's Island, The Monkees, Mission: Impossible, Mannix, Police Story, The White Shadow, Galactica 1980, Lou Grant, Chicago Hope, The Man Who Wasn't There, Intolerable Cruelty, My Name Is Earl and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Colman, also a respected stage actor, was probably best remembered for his role as Zaius on the television version of Planet of the Apes (with Mark Lenard). Colman's Voyager episode, "Nemesis," was the fourth episode of the show's fourth season, and it aired on September 24, 1997. In it, Colman played an old man who was part of a simulation designed to brainwash Chakotay.
