Julie Nimoy and her husband, David Knight, co-producers of COPD: Highly Illogical -- A Special Tribute to Leonard Nimoy, have provided StarTrek.com with a First Look at two recently shot raw clips from the upcoming documentary. In the heartrending first clip, Adam Nimoy, Leonard's son, discusses the last few months of his father's life. In the second, Aaron Bay Schuck talks about how Nimoy, his stepdad, ended up starring in the video for the Bruno Mars tune, "The Lazy Song."

Nimoy and Knight also told StarTrek.com that the Canadian Post, which just unveiled a collection of Star Trek: The Original Series-themed 50th anniversary stamps, has joined the effort to support COPD: Highly Illogical. As a result, fans who donate $75 or more on the film's crowdfunding page will receive a limited-edition 12x16 print of the Nimoy stamp autographed on the back by Julie Nimoy.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, commonly referred to as COPD, is the illness that claimed Nimoy's life last February. Few people are aware of the condition, despite the fact it’s one of the most-prevalent lung diseases diagnosed today and even though it ranks as the third most-common cause of death in America. Nimoy disclosed his diagnosis in 2014 and spent his remaining days talking and tweeting about the illness, revealing how his years of smoking caused it, and imploring anyone who smoked to do the logical thing – and quit. Julie Nimoy and David Knight discussed the documentary in detail with StarTrek.com in September.
