Now here’s a great eleventh-hour addition to the guest list for Creation Entertainment’s Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas: Karl Urban. The actor, Star Trek’s current Dr. Leonard McCoy, will be on hand Saturday and Sunday, signing autographs and posing for photo opportunities both days and appearing on stage on Sunday morning. Creation’s relationship with Urban -- beloved by sci-fi and fanstasy fans for everything from Xena: Warrior Princess The Lord of the Rings and Doom to The Chronicles of Riddick, Priest and Dredd -- actually dates back to Xena: Warrior Princess; he played a recurring role on the show and appeared at several of Creation’s official Xena conventions.
"We really wanted to hit it out of the park this year in terms of a big final surprise for our attendees,” Gary Berman, Creation Entertainment’s co-CEO, told StarTrek.com. “As huge fans of Karl's work in Star Trek and elsewhere, we can't think of a better last-minute addition to our already jam-packed schedule. All of us at Creation are very much looking forward to seeing all our fellow Star Trek fans from around the world and hope everyone has a safe journey to Vegas!"
