IDW Publishing has two exciting Star Trek comic books on the way for May. First, there’s Star Trek #21, a brand-new adventure that picks up where Star Trek Into Darkness leaves off. It’s written by Mike Johnson and Ryan Parrot, with art by Erfan Fajar and a cover by Tim Bradstreet, and overseen by Roberto Orci. It’ll run 32 pages and cost $3.99.
Up next, there’s Star Trek Classics, Vol. 4: Beginnings, a TNG saga that unfolds during the earliest voyages of the Enterprise and her crew, including Picard, Riker, Data, Worf, Troi, Yar and La Forge. Beginnings gathers together reprints of the DC Comics series The Next Generation #1-6, and the stories include the crew, still just getting to know each other, when a powerless Q arrives on board in an effort to understand what it means to be mortal; a world in which warrior envision battle as a child’s game; and a world with dark secrets that threaten the crew and ship; etc. Beginnings runs 152 pages and will cost $19.99.
