If you’ve ever wanted to design a Star Trek-themed tee-shirt, now’s your chance – and you could win some money, too. Mighty Fine is sponsoring the WeLoveFine.com Star Trek Tee Design Contest, welcoming Trek fans 18 and older to submit designs that, according to the rules, “must be original, creative and with artistic merit,” and, of course, capture the essence of Star Trek. Among the guest judges? Trek's very own Q, John de Lancie!
The contest will start today and run through September 10, 2012. WeLoveFine will select 10 winners. The Grand Prize winner will receive up to $2,500, while two winners of the Guest Judge’s Pick Prizes will receive $400. Two Runners-Up will each receive a $150 WeLoveFine.com gift certificate and five Honorable Mention awardees will each receive a $50 WeLoveFine.com gift certificate. Also, all winning designs will be put into consideration for printing and all winning artists will be considered for entry in the League of Mighty Fine Artists.
