Creation Entertainment has just added four new names to the guest list for the Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas this coming summer. The additions are Karl Urban, Star Trek's current Dr. McCoy, as well as Voyager guest star Kate Vernon, and fan favorites Robert O'Reilly and J.G. Hertzler, who'll appear in costume as Gowron and Martok.
“We’ve been working with Karl for almost 20 years, since his appearances with us at The Official Xena Conventions," Gary Berman, Creation Entertaiment's co-Founder and co-CEO told StarTrek.com. "We’ve been very pleased to see his continuing growth into a movie and television superstar with work we’ve enjoyed in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Riddick films, The Bourne Supremacy, Dune, RED, Dredd, Almost Human, and of course in the J.J. Abrams Star Trek films as Dr. McCoy. DeForest Kelley was truly one of our all-time favorite stars and Karl has done an amazing job stepping into De’s shoes in continuing this character that has meant so much to so many.
“We are happy to announce that Karl will be joining us in Las Vegas for The Official Star Trek Convention in 2015 and even happier that his scheduling should allow him a longer stay than in the past," Berman added. "He will be speaking on stage, siging autographs and doing photo ops for his legion of fans."
Creation Entertainment's Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas is set to be held August 6-9 at the Rio Suites Hotel.
