All we can say is… Wow. We at StarTrek.com just watched the trailer for the April 30 high-def Blu-ray release of Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Best of Both Worlds, from CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution. And it looks and sounds amazing – and creepy, too, especially when Patrick Stewart intones “I am Locutus of Borg.” Now, check it out for yourself:
The Best of Both Worlds Blu-ray transforms the fan-favorite two-part TNG saga that featured the Borg into a re-edited 90-minute feature-length experience. Extras include “Regeneration: Engaging the Borg,” which examines the creation of the formidable Trek enemy and features interviews with TNG cast, producers, writers, visual effects staff and makeup artists. Fans will also enjoy an audio commentary with director Cliff Bole, Mike and Denise Okuda, and guest star Elizabeth Dennehy. And, just for fun, there’s a gag reel culled from recently discovered original negatives.
