It's officially National Doctors' Day. We kid you not, National Doctors' Day is real thing, and it honors the service of our medics. The holiday was observed for the first time on March 30, 1933, with the date selected to mark the anniversary of the first use of general anesthesia in surgery. National Doctors' Day didn't officially become a holiday until 1990, when President Bush made it so.
StarTrek.com, to celebrate the occasion, ordered up some GIFs -- stat!! -- of Trek docs -- including Dr. McCoy, Dr. Crusher, The Doctor, Dr. Pulaski, Dr. Phlox and Dr. Bashir -- plying their skills.
Happy National Doctors' Day.
