On the last Tuesday of every month, gather online in our event chat room with special guests and other fans to discuss Star Trek titles. Our next event is taking place on Tuesday, June 29 at 11:00 a.m. PT/2:00 p.m. ET. It's the only official Star Trek Book Club on the Web and it's only at STARTREK.COM.
The Star Trek universe spans five television series, ten movies and an animated series, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Hundreds of Star Trek books have been published over the decades, both fiction and non-fiction, making Star Trek not just a film and television phenomenon but a publishing one as well.
The Star Trek Book Club will provide online chat events with authors, fans and Star Trek celebrities, plus in-depth information about a given month's featured book including how to purchase the book online.
The next Featured Book for The Star Trek Book Club will be "Worlds of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" by Heather Jarman and Una McCormack. Jarman is the author of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Mission Gamma Book Two: This Gray Spirit" and the 27th Volume in the Starfleet Corps of Engineers series, "Balance of Nature."
"Worlds of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" is actually two books in one, consisting of "Cardassia" by McCormack and "Andor" by Jarman. Each story tells a tale of the titular world in question, so fans of Andorians and Cardassians are in for a treat as the book continues to document of the "history" of the Star Trek universe post-DS9.
The Club's next event will take place at a new time on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. PT/2:00 p.m. ET, with an online chat with author Heather Jarman and editor Marco Palmieri. Fans can log in and chat with them about "Worlds of Deep Space Nine" and other projects in the works. Fans can get ready for the event by purchasing a copy of "Worlds of Deep Space Nine," (available soon in eBook form via the Simon & Schuster site below) and can also send advance questions to the guests now at bookclub@startrek.com.
