As Paramount Home Entertainment gets set to release the entire
Star Trek: Voyager series on DVD, beginning with Season 1 next week, what better way to get to grips with the entire run of the show than with Pocket Books' entertaining "Star Trek: Voyager Companion" by Paul Ruditis?
What makes this book fun is the way it brings forth some of the minutia contained in the episodes. Of course you have the standard details (title, episode number, guest stars, stardates, etc.) on each episode, but you also have entertaining tidbits in sections such as Sensor Readings, Damage Report, Delta Quadrant, Personal Logs and Medical Report that give you fun technical details established in a particular episode.
Star Trek: Voyager, while perhaps not the most groundbreaking of the Trek shows, was certainly entertaining and fun. To relive those moments, check your memory or settle some bets with friends, the "Companion" is a great place to start. [Tim]
