Assembled by "Starfleet cadets," this handy tome is an excellent guide to the major ships featured in Star Trek. There are lots of pretty pictures, but each ship profile also features a nifty wireframe diagram of the ship and a description of its specifications. If you're into detailed description and technical specs (and let's face it, what Trek fan isn't?), well ... this book tells you everything you need to know.

Thankfully, the cadets have also seen fit to include descriptions of non-Starfleet vessels. So you've got your Klingon B'rel-class bird-of-prey, your Romulan D'deridex-class warbird, your Species 8472 bio-ship.

Only one quibble: when will the cadets see fit to update the Spotter to include the Enterprise NX-01? I wouldn't mind diagrams and specs for earlier vessels such as this, as it would provide an even better picture of the evolution of Starfleet starships.

In the meantime, check out the Sovereign-class Enterprise-E. Not too shabby, eh?
