Figures.com has announced the official launch of its exclusive Star Trek action figure, the Captain Kirk "Trouble with Tribbles" MiniMate created by Art Asylum.

"I think the Kirk with Tribbles piece will be the hottest Star Trek MiniMate to date," said Art Asylum's Adam Unger. "I'm happy it's in the hands of a company that cares about the fans as much as we do."

Based on the classic Original Series episode, "The Trouble With Tribbles," the 3-inch tall MiniMate figure of James T. Kirk (William Shatner) surrounded by Tribbles. The Kirk MiniMate comes bundled with a pile of Tribbles on a string and a phaser and is limited to a 5,000 piece run and is scheduled to begin shipping in June for $6.99 each.
