Shannon Cochran's first guest starring role on a Star Trek show was in the penultimate Star Trek: The Next Generation episode, "Preemptive Strike." Her role as Kalita, a member of the Maquis, was later reprised in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode, "Defiant."

Cochran then went on to play Lady Sirella,  the formidable Klingon  who married Worf and Jadzia Dax in "You Are Cordially Invited ..." Most recently, Shannon had the opportunity to play the murderous Romulan Senator Tal'aura in "Star Trek Nemesis."
