Klingonbird-of-prey captain, in 2285, Kruge collected stolen data on the Project Genesis device. Kruge wanted Genesis for its weapons potential and his quest for Genesis lead to the destruction of the U.S.S. Grissom, an incursion with Admiral Kirk and Enterprise, and ordered the execution of David Marcus, Kirk's son.
Kirk killed Kruge by dropping him into a lava pit.
