Officer serving aboard the U.S.S. Reliant in 2285 during its planetary survey mission in the Mutara Sector for Project Genesis. When the ship was hijacked by Khan Noonien Singh, Beach was among the crew stranded on the desert planet Ceti Alpha V until later rescued by the U.S.S. Enterprise.
