An attractive young woman who served as a security officer aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise on stardate 5143.3 (2269). Sometime prior to 2264, Nored had been engaged to marry Carter Winston, a wealthy galactic trader and interstellar philanthropist famed throughout the United Federation of Planets. Because Nored had never given up hope of seeing Winston after his disappearance in 2264, she was initially delighted when the Enterprise rescued a man who appeared to be Winston — and was disappointed to discover that he was really a Vendorian shape-shifter who had adopted the original Carter Winston's form after his death. When Nored learned that the Vendorian absorbed not only Winston's physical likeness but also his feelings of love for her, she suggested that the alien consider living out his life as a human, although she saw little chance of sharing a romantic relationship with the creature.
