Resembling a large pillbug, Em/3/Green had a large carapace on his back, as well as six arms and two legs. Em/3/Green is an expert lockpick and thief. In 2269 (stardate: 5683.1), Em/3/Green is part of a team of aliens chosen by the Vedala to help retrieve a stolen object known as the Soul of Skorr, thus preventing a holy war in the galaxy. Despite his people's traditional caution to the point of cowardice, Em/3/Green proves invaluable to the group. In later years, the Federation would come to know the species of Em/3/Green as the Nasat.
