We know some of you can only handle it once a week, but then again some of you have also expressed interest in getting it more often, up to three times a week! We're talking about "The Trek Life," of course, and now, starting October 1 you can get your favorite comic strip delivered straight to your computer for free and with no obligation every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!
"The Trek Life," as you may know, is a whimsical tale that revolves around three Star Trek fans, Carl, Kate and Steve, and their adventures and relationships. David Reddick, the creator, writer, and artist, began the strip just over two years ago and has seen its popularity grow and grow each year. With this demand in mind, David proposed doing more strips for the site and we were more than happy to accomodate and continue to nurture his creative inner Klingon.
David has already created some episodes of "The Trek Life" that have appeared elsewhere, notably in the Star Trek Magazine from Titan and a reimagined version in the form of two chibi strips for Tokyopop's second installment of Star Trek: The Manga, "Kakan ni Shinkou." But if that isn't enough, hopefully our new weekly triple-play will satiate your appetite!
The best part about the new thrice weekly "Trek Life" is you don't have to do anything different, other than make sure you log on to STARTREK.COM as usual and follow the link from the homepage. As a little teaser, starting this Friday we will be running six of the previously published Star Trek Magazine episodes of "The Trek Life," continuing Monday to Friday of the following week. Then, on October 1, get ready for a weekly threesome — of "The Trek Life"!
