As we welcome in the New Year, STARTREK.COM would like to acquaint you with some changes we've recently made to the site that are designed to enhance your overall browsing experience. Consider these changes part of our New Year's revolutions!

Starting with the Home Page, we've decided to add a more interactive element that changes every day, more reason for you to return on a regular basis to witness the glory of our Daily Page. The basic layout now includes a list of current news and feature items in our Top Stories section. In addition, we've added some fun items to complement our popular Clip of the Day. The new daily items are:

• Photo of the Day
• Quote of the Day
• Word of the Day
• Daily Trivia
• Daily Reminder

Throughout the site you will find other design changes, particularly the News, Features, Community and Giveaways pages. Also, there is a larger clickable area on the top left for the STARTREK.COM home page to get you back where you started. This change is echoed on all the series pages for the particular series hub page.

For your reading convenience, our longer news and feature articles are now broken into separate, shorter pages. Articles appearing in lists (i.e. News, Library, Columns) now have Next/Previous article links within the story, and all links to articles you've already seen are a different, easy-to-read color than links to articles you haven't yet visited.

The results in our Search feature now display 10 different article types and results are sortable by Date, Title, Article type, Match (relevance) — in both ascending and descending order.

In the navigation bar for News, you will find it now includes both Product News and Game News.

In our Features section, we've added an "Introduction to Star Trek," as well as new Photo Galleries that are also now selectable by series.

For the individual Series, we've made some nice upgrades, particularly if you are a DVD collector. Added to the columns for episode lists, we've included the relevant DVD number for that season. Episode lists also now sortable by Air Date, Title, Production Number and Season, in both ascending and descending order. These complete lists are now available for easier printing, either grouped by season or sorted by title. Click on the Printable list function at the top of each page to enable.

For the seasons of every series, we've created a new DVD hub page that links you to information on the disc configuration and bonus features for easy reference, as well as a Buy link if you wish to purchase.

Each episode page now shows the season and the sequence number within the season.
To put in your own two-cents worth on a particular episode, Fan Reviews are available for both your own personal entry, and to review those of others contributors. Also, individual episodes now have Related Links at the bottom of each page and the episode Guest Cast and Creative Staff credits are now correct.

If you are into Gaming, especially the On Line variety, we've added a new Online Game section to keep you abreast of the developments for the new Star Trek online game that will be ready for play in 2006.

For the STARTREK.COM Store, we've added new pages for our U.K. and Canadian residents.

For cell phone aficionados, we've added a page that deals with mobile phone Ringtones.

Our now popular STARTREK.COM Gear store page has been hugely popular with the fans (and Star Trek staff!). We've been doing new weekly episode desktops to download that feature images from current Star Trek: Enterprise episodes.

For those wishing to upgrade their own sites, we now feature Headlines through our RSS feeds.
