Nicholas Worth, an burly character actor who played
Dr. Chaotica's henchman "
Lonzak" in "
Bride of Chaotica!" and "
Shattered," died last month at age 69.
Besides his black-and-white role in Voyager, Worth also played two characters in Deep Space Nine. In Season 5's "A Simple Investigation," Worth was "Sorm," an Orion Syndicate hitman partnered with Traidy.
Because of his imposing build and round head, Worth often played villains, appearing in such films as "Don't Answer the Phone!" "Swamp Thing" and "Darkman." His wide range of TV credits includes The X-Files, Sliders, Starsky and Hutch, The Rockford Files, Knight Rider and Night Court.
Worth was born September 4, 1937, in St. Louis, Miss., to parents who owned a furniture store. He decided to become an actor at age 8. He attended Carnegie Institute of Technology and then served in the Army for three years as a paratrooper.
