This weekend (April 24-25), both
William Shatner and
Leonard Nimoy will be taking the stage in Chicago at the Radisson O'Hare Hotel for Creation's Salute to
Star Trek and Sci-Fi Media. The two stars of the Original Series and movies will be appearing on separate days, with Leonard on Saturday and Bill on Sunday. There will be autograph and photo opportunities with both stars, so we encourage you to follow the Creation Entertainment link below for more details.
Nimoy will be doing an on-stage talk and Q & A, plus, as an added bonus, he will be doing his acclaimed one-man show that night at 8:00 p.m. The performance, "Pictures, Poetry and Prose," is a showing of the history of his photography work and an introduction to his fine art book of images called "Shekhina". The multi-talented Nimoy will also be reading from his latest poetry book called "A Lifetime of Love" and will be discussing the changes that have taken place in his life during these past 35 years. All attendees to this event will receive a complimentary limited edition photograph honoring this theatrical event.
Shatner, always a fan favorite, will be bringing his inimitable style and energy, along with his amusing anecdotes. We expect the audience will have to ask Shatner the big question: Who's actually the voice of Priceline now!
The events of the weekend will be hosted by Richard Arnold, long-time associate of Gene Roddenbery. Richard is also preparing to do his own talks on Star Trek. For those who haven't seen Richard speak at one of these events, he's always informative and fun.
Other Star Trek guests at the Chicago convention include:
William Wellman, JR. — Star Trek: Deep Space Nine plus loads of other TV and film credits
Richard Herd — Admiral Paris plus loads of Sci-Fi and other TV
Many Intiraymi — Star Trek: Voyager's Icheb (the Borg boy)
J. Paul Boehmer — Four characters on various Trek series, including the Borg drone in Voyager's "One" and Mestral in Enterprise's "Carbon Creek"
Bobby Clark — the Gorn from "Arena"
