This Thursday, February 26,
Anthony Montgomery ("
Travis Mayweather") will finally be making his long-promised appearance at The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip, doing a stand-up routine alongside a slew of other comedians and celebrities in a charity event benefiting AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA).
Sarah Silverman, who played "Rain Robinson" in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Future's End," is also expected to join the fun and put in a few minutes on stage during the evening.
The charity comedy night begins 8:00 p.m. Thursday night in The Main Room at the Comedy Store, 8433 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, Calif. Montgomery will probably go on fairly early in the show, so be on time. Tickets are $10 at the door, with a two-drink minimum. For more info or to make reservations, call (323) 934-1839.
Other comedians on the bill that night include Drew Carey, Harry Anderson, Jim Belushi, Kathy Griffin, Jeff Conaway (of "Grease," Taxi and Babylon 5 fame) and more, with some potential surprises. Other celebrities are also planning to attend, not necessarily to give a comedy set but to speak in support of APLA. Those include Sean Astin (of the "Lord of the Rings" films), Jennifer Garner (Alias), Daniel Baldwin, etc. Musical guests will include Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, Dizzy Reed of Guns N Roses, Leif Garrett and others.
The line-up has other Star Trek connections in Leslie Jordan, who played the Ferengi "Kol" in Voyager's "False Profits," and Rick Overton, a popular guest at Star Trek conventions with his own unique brand of sci-fi comedy.
All appearances are subject to shooting schedules or other commitments.
Proceeds from the event will specifically benefit APLA's Dental Van, which delivers care to those who can't travel to a dentist's office.
