Production Report: First Season a Wrap

The auspicious first season of the latest Star Trek adventure, Enterprise, wrapped production on Tuesday after a long day of shooting final scenes for the season cliffhanger "Shockwave."

Although second-unit photography will continue throughout the week, the principal cast headed by Scott Bakula yesterday concluded their first year as part of Star Trek history with scenes on the Bridge set, as well as the Launch Bay, Captain's Mess, Sickbay, a Shuttlepod and other soundstage locales. They will celebrate with a wrap party Wednesday night after which they have 10 weeks of hiatus before reporting back to duty for Season 2 in June.

Monday the principal cast was joined by John Fleck, reprising his role as "Silik," and James Horan as the mysterious "humanoid figure" previously seen in "Broken Bow" and "Cold Front," along with several Suliban extras. In the midst of shooting action sequences aboard a Suliban ship Monday, the cast and crew received a treat: a truck from In & Out Burger came to the lot to grill up an especially mouth-watering lunch, courtesy of the production office.

"Shockwave," the first hour of a story that will conclude in the fall, is scheduled to air May 22 on UPN. First-run (Wednesday) airdates for all the remaining new episodes of the season are as follows:

"Detained" — April 24
"Vox Sola" — May 1
"Fallen Hero" — May 8 (8:00)
"Desert Crossing" — May 8 (9:00)
"Two Days and Two Nights" — May 15
"Shockwave" — May 22

Discuss this at the Enterprise message board! Please note: All production information is subject to change.
