G4's Attack of the Show, which airs today at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 PT, will feature a debate on the merits of the Original Series remastering project currently in the works by CBS Digital. The original story, as reported here, has already raised some concerns by purists who think that Star Trek is sacred ground and you shouldn't touch them. Other questions, technical in nature, are also likely to be raised.

The debate will feature long-time Trek producer and associate Dave Rossi (who is working on the project) and Eugene "Rod" Roddenberry , son of the late Gene Roddenberry.

"We're facing off against other panelists on 'the philosophy of whether or not the effects re-do should be done,'" according to Rossi.
