The game-show format didn't quite work out for him, so now he's trying his hand at the talk show.
William Shatner has signed up to host a celebrity-interview show on the Biography Channel titled "Shatner's Raw Nerve" which will premiere sometime next year, reports Daily Variety.
The 30-minute show will feature both actors and politicians, and Shatner will "explore life's most intriguing questions and unearth his guests' strange and unknown stories," states a Biography press release.
The cable network, which has initially committed to 13 episodes, also says that the producers of "Raw Nerve" will consciously try not to book guests based on whether they have a movie or book to plug.

Last fall Shatner hosted Show Me the Money, which only lasted about a month on the air. Those of us who watched probably agree that he more than had the goods as a host, but the game itself was pretty thin in both concept and execution. This new Biography Channel series promises to be a much more substantial outlet for the Emmy winner's talents, personality and point-of-view. Of course, he'll have to fit in the new show amidst his production schedule for ABC's Boston Legal, which began production on its fourth season three week ago.
