Is this what an alien might see?

Creation Invites You to Google Up

You have just a few days left to create your own unique artwork and possibly have it displayed at Creation's Las Vegas Star Trek convention next week. This is a great opportunity for those of you who are artistic, tech-savvy and part of the Creation Entertainment family.

All you have to do is tap into your imagination and then, courtesy of Google, use their free Google Earth, Maps and SketchUp programs to create your own sci-fi themed vision of an alien's visit to Earth. Google will then post these images on a special site they're running concurrent with Creation's Official Star Trek Convention (August 17-20. 2006 at The Las Vegas Hilton Hotel).

To get started you'll need to download Google SketchUp. If you're not familiar with Google SketchUp, Google has a few helpful training videos that should get you well on the way to making your contribution to this event. (http://sketchup.google.com/tutorials.html)

Once you have your model ready to show, you can upload it here at the 3D Warehouse.

Make sure to add the tag "scifi" so they can find your image and possibly display it at the convention at the Google booth (which is the centerpiece of Creation's exhibit floor in Las Vegas) and on their site. Please remember to respect copyright and other intellectual property rights when creating your vision. (See below.)

Deadline for entries is August 13, 2006!
