Update 12.14.05: Five of the Enterprise actors — Connor Trinneer, Dominic Keating, Linda Park, Anthony Montgomery and John Billingsley — were present at a gathering last Saturday, December 10, to greet the fans responsible for the charity drive and to receive their scrapbooks. Online donations can still be made to the Seattle Children's Hospital until about a week before Christmas. Follow the Related Link below for more information.
Star Trek: Enterprise fans have organized their second annual holiday fundraising drive to benefit charities selected by the actors.
This year the beneficiary is Seattle Children's Hospital, the favored charity of Connor Trinneer. Organizers are collecting both monetary and non-monetary donations in Trinneer's name. Complete instructions can be found at this link; click on "Holiday Charity."
Last year's charity was Our Little Haven of St. Louis, Missouri — a support organization for children with special needs — which is the preferred charity of Scott Bakula. Bakula's fans continue to raise money for that cause, and information about that can be found at the same link (click on "Bakula Fans Christmas").
Concurrent with the charity drive, fans are also compiling scrapbooks and gift baskets for the Enterprise cast members. The scrapbooks will include "In Honor of" cards from the charity organization, as well as other greetings and holiday wishes received through the actors' respective websites and from a table set up at the Starbase Indy convention in November. To participate, follow the same link and click on "2005 Holiday Project Outline." E-mail greetings must be received by December 5. Physical contributions must be received by December 3.
