This Saturday, July 12,
Star Trek fans in Southern California can see
Star Trek: Voyager star
Tim Russ ("
Tuvok") and his band play as well as bid in an auction on a
Star Trek package that includes lunch with
Enterprise star
John Billingsley ("
Dr. Phlox") and some
Star Trek memorabilia, all to benefit the Sacred Fools Theater Company, just down Melrose Avenue from Paramount Studios.
Sacred Fools, a six-year old Los Angeles small theater company, is throwing a gigantic benefit called "360," which refers to "Over three hundred and sixty minutes... Three hundred and sixty degrees of 'foolish' entertainment," which includes performances by Russ and his band, as well as various other acts, scenes and performers. All for the ticket price of $15, which goes to benefit the non-profit theater company. Tickets are on sale now at the Sacred Fools site via the link below.
"The event is going to be a ton of fun and we're delighted and grateful to have both Tim and John take the time to contribute," said Tom Kiesche, one of the event's producers.
Throughout the evening there will be auctions for prizes, including the aforementioned package of lunch with Billingsley and some selected Star Trek memorabilia. Russ and his band are scheduled to appear at or around 6:30 p.m., with the Star Trek Package auction scheduled to take place at or around 7:30 p.m.
The theater company has featured several Star Trek alums in its productions over the years, including Becky Wahlstrom (the Cogenitor from the Enterprise episode "Cogenitor") and Paul Collins (Zlangco from the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Battle Lines").
Sacred Fools Theater Company is located in Los Angeles at 660 North Heliotrope, at the corner of Melrose and Heliotrope. For more information on the event and on the theater company itself, visit their site via the link below.
