A little-known fact about broadcast television is being rectified by TNN. Many broadcasters, in the interest of creating extra time for commercials, will subtly cut episodes of a television show to gain a few more minutes of advertising. Beginning in March, for the first time on either broadcast or basic cable television, episodes of TNG will be telecast uncut on TNN. "Trek Uncut," featuring back-to-back themed Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes, will be presented every Friday night (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) during March.

The weekly block of themed TNG episodes will be presented full-screen with no black bar and limited commercial interruptions. The themed TNG episodes for March are listed beneath this story.

"Presenting (TNG) episodes uncut is a television first," said Kevin Kay, Executive Vice President, Programming and Production for The New TNN. "We've been listening to our Trek viewers and are giving them this special opportunity to view their favorite episodes."

As well as airing the "Trek Uncut" episodes, TNN continues to respond to fans' requests by airing TNG episodes consecutively from the beginning of the syndicated series. Starting Monday, March 3 with its 8:00 PM, Prime Time episodes (Monday-Friday 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), the network will telecast TNG episodes consecutively from the beginning of season one ("Encounter at Farpoint, Part I" from 1987) through the end of season seven ("All Good Things..., Part II" from 1994).

The New TNN is the television home of Star Trek. Currently showing TNG and frequently showing selected Star Trek films, the network will begin airing Star Trek: Deep Space Nine beginning in Fall 2004 and Star Trek: Voyager in late 2006.
