HOLLYWOOD, September 5, 2002 Stanley Cup Winner Luc Robitaille, who currently plays for the NHL's Detroit Red Wings, paid a surprise visit to the set of Paramount Network Television's hit drama series Enterprise. Last week, Robitaille visited with friend Scott Bakula, who stars as Captain Jonathan Archer on the series, and brought with him the Stanley Cup at Bakula's request.
Robitaille (former Los Angeles Kings left wing), Bakula and various cast and crew members who are fans of Robitaille posed for photos around the Stanley Cup, which sat high in the Captain's chair on the bridge of the Enterprise. [Note: What makes the Stanley Cup unique is that every member on the reigning championship team is allowed to spend a day with the trophy and do whatever they want with it. Recently, the Stanley Cup was in the flood-ravaged city of Prague. As several NHL players hail from the Czech Republic, it was seen as a gesture of hope and inspiration for the city. Ed.]
Cast members Jolene Blalock (Sub-Commander T'Pol), Connor Trinneer (Chief Engineer Charles "Trip" Tucker, III) and Anthony Montgomery (Ensign Travis Mayweather) were also on hand for the gathering.
