On the same day that Nicholas Meyer is in the spotlight for the DVD release of "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan The Director's Edition" (see related story), the writer/director is in the news regarding other new projects.
Meyer just turned in his script for a TV movie about former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, to be produced for NBC, according to today's Daily Variety.
Meyer's next project is a screenplay adaptation of the Philip Roth novel "The Human Stain" for director Robert Benton and Lakeshore Entertainment. After that he will adapt another Philip Roth book, "The Dying Animal," for Lakeshore with a good chance he'll direct.
"The thing about Philip Roth is how he has such a winning way with movie titles," Meyer commented in the trade paper.
