Members of Star Trek's long list of alums make appearances almost daily in films and television. The following information is subject to change, so be sure to check your local listings for local channels and airtimes, and for theaters and showtimes.
On Television Tonight
Tune in to Sci-Fi Channel tonight (Friday) to see John Billingsley guest star in Stargate SG-1. The episode, titled "The Other Guys," is scheduled to air at 9:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific times, and again two hours later, but check your local listings to confirm. Billingsley, of course, is the beloved "Dr. Phlox" on Enterprise. A couple of pictures of him during filming of the show in Canada are posted on his official Web site, JohnBillingsley.net.
In Movie Theaters This Weekend
Dana Carvey's costume comedy "The Master of Disguise" opens today with several Star Trek alumni along for the ride. Among them, Brent Spiner ("Data" on Star Trek: The Next Generation) plays the evil "Devlin Bowman," an international black marketer who kidnaps his archenemy "Frabbrizio Disguisey" (James Brolin), prompting his inept son "Pistachio Disguisey" (Carvey) to spring into action.
Also appearing in the family film is Erick Avari as "Cigar Maker." Avari recently played the Novan "Jamin" in the Enterprise episode "Terra Nova." He was also in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as the Bajoran "Yarka" in "Destiny," and TNG as the Klingon "B'iJik" in "Unification, Part I." Michael Bailey Smith is in the movie as "Henchman #1" he played an unnamed alien in "Basics, Part II" for Star Trek: Voyager.
