First it was a special, now it's a regular series. William Shatner ("James T. Kirk") hosted a special for VH1 last year, counting down the top 100 "One Hit Wonders," and now the concept has been expanded to a regular series, with Shatner hosting.

"In the world that we inhabit, having one hit is a lot better than having no hits," Shatner told The Associated Press.

One Hit Wonders premieres tonight and will appear on VH1 every Monday, with episodes focusing around a particular theme, such as tonight's episode "Disco Divas." Future episodes will include "Heavy Metal," "TV Themes" and, like Shatner himself, "Celebrity Singers."
