Trinneer Nominated for Stage Performance Connor Trinneer (Enterprise's Chief Engineer Trip Tucker) has been nominated for an L.A. Weekly Theater Award. The newspaper nominated Trinneer in the category of Leading Male Performance for his work in the play "Edward II" at the Circle X Theater Company at the Actors' Gang Theater.
The 23rd Annual L.A. Weekly Theater Awards will be held at the Los Angeles Theater Center on Monday, April 22.
Biggs Helms Shakespeare's "Richard III"
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine veteran Casey Biggs ("Gul Damar") has taken the director's chair for a production of Shakespeare's "Richard III," which opens tomorrow. This co-production between the Odyssey Theatre and Circus Theatricals opens in Los Angeles Saturday, Feb 2 and features several Star Trek alums in its cast.
Appearing in "Richard III" are Neil Vipond, who played Darok in the DS9 episode "Once More Unto The Breach" as well as Flying Instructor Kleg in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Natural Law." The play also features multiple alum Eric Pierpoint, who played Ambassador Voval in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Liaisons," Captain Sanders in the DS9 episode "For the Uniform," and Kortar in the Voyager episode "Barge of the Dead."

Grammer, Cattrall Up for SAG Awards
The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) announced its nominations this week for its 8th Annual SAG Awards, and both Kelsey Grammer (Captain Morgan Bateson in the TNG episode "Cause and Effect") and Kim Cattrall (Valeris in "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country") have been nominated, respectively, for Best Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series. Grammer's nomination comes for his work on NBC's Frasier, while Cattrall's comes for her work on HBO's Sex and the City.
Both thespians were also nominated (along with their respective costars) in the category of Ensemble, Comedy Series. The SAG Awards are scheduled to take place Sunday, March 10 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and the event will be telecast on the TNT cable network.
