The tradition of television networks creating short public service announcements (PSA's) wishing viewers happy holidays is being modified this year in light of current events, with the networks aiming the holiday wishes at United States service men and women involved in the war on terrorism.

UPN will be contributing to the effort by creating short spots including the stars of Enterprise, which joins other UPN shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer and WWF Smackdown in sending troops holiday greetings.

Enterprise also created a PSA to welcome those stationed aboard the real-life U.S.S. Enterprise upon its return from overseas (see related story here). The new PSA's are due to begin airing in the coming weeks.
