William Shatner ("James T. Kirk") has starred in films and television shows ranging from westerns to cop shows to cooking shows to, of course, groundbreaking science fiction, and now the actor is set to play a Mafia boss in the upcoming comedy "DumbFellas."

Described in the Hollywood Reporter as "Dumb & Dumber" meets "GoodFellas," the film is to be produced by Shatner's manager Larry Thompson.

Other projects Shatner has in the works include "Groom Lake," a science fiction film in which Shatner serves triple duty- writing, directing and acting; a role in "American Psycho II" plus his hosting duties on UPN's Iron Chef USA.
