A slew of celebrities will be signing autographs and auctioning personal memorabilia for charity this weekend during an open house at the Light Speed Fine Arts gallery in Laguna Hills, California.
About 20 Star Trek stars including George Takei ("Sulu"), Nichelle Nichols ("Uhura"), John de Lancie ("Q"), Armin Shimerman ("Quark"), Nicole deBoer ("Ezri Dax") and Robert Picardo ("The Doctor") are set to attend the event December 8-9 which will feature live and silent auctions of memorabilia donated by the actors and by the studio, plus a special exhibit of the highly praised black-and-white photography of Leonard Nimoy.
Ticket prices are $50 for one day or $90 for both. Net proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Red Cross to benefit September 11 Disaster Relief. The celebrities will charge nominal fees for autographs, a portion of which will also be donated to the charities of their choice. More information is available at the Light Speed website.
Other Star Trek VIP's slated to attend include Grace Lee Whitney ("Janice Rand"), Gary Lockwood ("Gary Mitchell"), Denise Crosby ("Tasha Yar"), Patti Yasutake ("Nurse Ogawa"), Jennifer Hetrick ("Vash"), Robert O'Reilly ("Gowron"), Max Grodénchick ("Rom"), Aron Eisenberg ("Nog"), Chase Masterson ("Leeta"), J.G. Hertzler ("Martok"), de Lancie's son Keegan ("Q2" in "Q2"); plus Patricia Tallman, stuntwoman and frequent guest star since Star Trek: The Next Generation, and former pre-production and script coordinator Lolita Fatjo.
