Enterprise each week, will also help open the future home of the Academy Awards, the Kodak Theatre in the new Hollywood & Highland complex in Los Angeles.
The "Faith of the Heart" warbler will be the first featured performer at the Kodak Theatre during its grand opening ceremony Friday, November 9. The recently completed Hollywood & Highland complex is the centerpiece of the effort to revitalize Hollywood Boulevard. Besides the Kodak Theatre where the Academy Awards will take place starting in 2002 the center also contains numerous restaurants, retail stores and entertainment attractions.
Watson will also perform the night prior (Thursday the 8th) at a private charity gala that will take place in the center's Grand Ballroom. William Shatner is expected to attend the star-studded event which will benefit the Fulfillment Fund and honor Jeffrey Katzenberg. Katzenberg, now a partner in DreamWorks SKG, oversaw production of "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" while an executive at Paramount Pictures.
