Dear
Star Trek Fan,
We would like to announce our newest features: Letters to the Editor and Desert Asteroid Episodes!
STARTREK.COM would like to hear from you, take your questions and suggestions, and generally keep an open line of communication. We value your input regarding the site, and your thoughts on Star Trek in general. With our new Letters to the Editor feature, your input could be chosen by our Editor to be published for the entire world to see! Take part in our latest feature to the site by sending your comments, questions or criticisms on all things Star Trek. Our trusted team will do their best to handle your inquiries and provide insight into the shows, movies and franchise as a whole.
With the advent of our Desert Asteroid Episodes, you have the chance to share your favorite Star Trek episodes with the rest of the world. The idea is a simple one: You are stranded on a desert asteroid, with enough life support to sustain yourself and enough electricity to power your portable DVD player. The task is to pick a special DVD compilation of your top 10 installments from either of the five Star Trek series and ten movies, and explain why these episodes will get you through your splendid isolation. Sure to inspire debate, Desert Asteroid Episodes will also be guaranteed to entertain.
Star Trek may be out of production, but we haven't stopped putting together features for your enjoyment. We are continuing to produce new multi-media content, new giveaways and new stories as we know the Star Trek community hasn't gone away. With these two new features, this is just our way of helping you contribute to the world of Star Trek.
Send us your Top 10 Desert Asteroid Episode and amaze us with your great taste. For an example on what to send, and to see what the STARTREK.COM staff chose, check out our original spin on the subject in this article! (We were a bit more ambitious in choosing from the various series, but you can limit yourself to the shows you are more familiar with if you like.)
Every couple of weeks we will take the best of your letters and publish them, comment on them, or answer them. The sky's the limit, so go out and think of some good questions for the Editor! And while you're at it, give us your Top 10 favorite Trek episodes and why you would chose to watch these if you were stranded on a deserted asteroid with only a DVD player and a TV.
Thanks for your future participation. We can't wait to hear from you!
