A freighter under the command of Captain O'Shea. On stardate 6334.1 (2270), the Huron took aboard a commercial shipment of dilithium, along with a small quantity of the life-saving drug strobolin intended for delivery to the U.S.S. Enterprise, where a dying Commander Spock was in urgent need of the drug. Unfortunately, the Huron's cargo was seized by Orion pirates prior to the rendezvous, forcing Captain James Kirk of the Enterprise to obtain the strobolin by confronting the freebooters directly.
